November 22, 2011Tuesday Video: Sonora tree heads to the White House
In the Stanislaus National Forest outside Sonora a Sierra White Fir was blessed by Miwok Indians. Then two cranes stabilized the tree while the top 65 feet were cut as the new Capitol Christmas Tree.
The trek to the White House began, with festive stops planned along the way. Soon the First Gardener will be hanging ornaments on our not-so-little piece of California.
