If you like the look of Rosemary Verey’s frosty knot garden, then read on for new revelations about the life and work of this famed English garden designer. She is gone, but her books (including The Garden in Winter) remain, and if you’re in Gloucestershire you can lodge at her former home, Barnsley House.
