Revel in roses

DO try this at home. Sacramento’s Old City Cemetery is famous for its roses. Fill your arms with those blooms in a rose-arranging class at the Sacramento Marina on Saturday, October 16.

Carolyn Parker, rose author, will demonstrate her special rose-arranging techniques while you enjoy scones and coffee. After lunch she’ll provide lots of pretty vases and Old City Cemetery roses for you to play with. If you’re free on Friday, you can wander the cemetery and help Carolyn harvest roses for the class. Carolyn is donating her time to the class organizers, the Old City Cemetery Committee.
