Mountain lion tracks in your garden?

For years I’ve been talking about the mountain lion track I spotted in some mud beside my Nevada City house. Now Fish and Game tells me it was probably a d-o-g and not a big cat after all.

Have you got some rather large felines in your neighborhood?

whatever

RE: Lion Track says:

Sure looks like a mountain lion track to me! Why Fish and Game say otherwise?  I was sure I spotted a mountain lion crossing the road, 17 years ago now, when I was driving through the desert from Kingman, AZ to Las Vegas.  I was by myself, 8 months pregnant, and praying that the borrowed car I was in did not break down.  I’ve never forgotten it, even though I too was also told that there were no such lions in that area.

Yes, that’s mountain lion pawprint. Click the link to see what Fish and Game shows that I *thought* was a lion track. Glad you did not get a closer acquaintance with the cougar.
