Independents Day

There’s quite a brouhaha in the garden world right now about Monrovia, a major grower.

Monrovia supplies plants only to independent garden centers but it is, well, threatening to leave the independents in the dust and saddle up instead with The Big Box Stores.

What’s that got to do with us? It’s a reminder to support our favorite independent garden centers during the holidays.

Are you a Secret Santa and stumped for a gift? A seasonal indoor plant from the independents. Do you love a picky gardener? A gift certificate from an independent will have you covered, from azaleas to zinnias.
