i used to say jeckle until i visited glebe house in connecticut where they told me the proper pronunciation is geekle. still, that sounds odd to me…

I say jeekel, but I also say CLEM-a-tis, and have been called snobby for it…. I blame it on the British boss I had at the public garden I worked for years ago!
