How do I love thee?

Ah, Elizabeth Barrett Browning and her namesake, Narcissus Barrett Browning.

Count the ways we Californians love this daffodil from hot zone 10 all the way up to Lake Tahoe’s zone 6 (it will grow even in zone 3).

Enjoy the yellow halo behind the small, orange cup on this long-stemmed lovely. Another Wister Award winner, for stalwart beauty, the bulb naturalizes well, so plant it where you’d like an increasing patch.

Want to natter about narcissus? Join me Thursday evening for #FleurChat on Twitter and Facebook when I’ll be the special guest for an hour’s daffodil discussion. Bring your expertise or your questions.
