‘Folsom Black’ bamboo

A noteworthy bamboo in the Sacramento area was named for its hometown! ‘Folsom Black’ is bigger and blacker than the rest, reports Sean the Bamboo Geek from Mad Man Bamboo Nursery. Californians can be proud, and they can get advice from Sean about how to plant and control this running bamboo.

Sue Langley says:

Very handsome bamboo!  Is it named Folsom because it’s native to California?  I’d like to know more about bamboo, good things…and this one seems worth investigating.

Sue, I agree—a good-looking bamboo! It hails from a patch in Folsom, CA and you can get the details by clicking on the word “report” in the post. Then go visit Sean at his nursery. He knows just about everything there is to know about bamboo.
