The great American Dig In

Round up some friends, and garden for a good cause this weekend: Slow Food USA is coordinating events all over the country on Saturday, September 25. The idea is to “dig in” and work together, then “dig in” to a group meal at the end of the day.

In Escondido they’ll be fanning out to glean excess produce with local farmers. In East Palo Alto they’ll be working on a one-acre, organic, school garden. In Cupertino they’ll be tasting heirloom tomatoes at a winery.
