And the winner is….

The American Meadow Garden: Creating a Natural Alternative to the Traditional Lawn, published by Timber Press. Last night the national Garden Writers Association gave this tome the Gold Medal for Best Overall Book. Written by San Bernardino County nurseryman John Greenlee, with photography by Saxon Holt of Marin County, it’s an inspiring work by two Californians. Tired of your old-fashioned, water hog of a lawn? Read this.

Dirt du Jour will now be my “Go To” source of all important horticultural events.  You have scooped all my normal media sources.

Thanks Charlotte
