November 1, 2010A year-round bouquet
The Queen of Succulents, California’s own Debra Lee Baldwin, can bring a bouquet to my house any old time. Here she creates a succulent container with lavender Echeveria ‘Afterglow’ in the middle, red Graptosedum ‘California Sunset’, and silvery-gray trailing Sedum ‘Cape Blanco’.
Enjoy this combination outdoors all year in most of California. If your winter weather includes freezing temperatures, put the container indoors for the season. Get all the dirt on this (and a video of Debra in action) at Fine Gardening magazine’s Garden Photo of the Day.
And here’s my review of Debra’s latest book, Succulent Container Gardens.

Good to see a native succulent used here-Sedum spathulifolium ‘Cape Blanco’. Makes the Echiverias stand out.
